Avila prepares a choir and an orchestra for the Day in the Diocese before WYD
This morning was held at the offices of the Bishop of Avila a press conference where they have released the final details of the organization of the Days in the Diocese (DED), previous the World Youth Day, which will manage to gather in our province over 6,000 pilgrims from various parts of world.
With just over 4 months to produce such an important event, while highlighting the fact that there are already 415 registered volunteers, and to insist on the need for more foster families, a key point we have tried stress from the central organization:
CHOIR AND ORCHESTRA OF
JMJ has been publicly presented the initiative to create a choir and an orchestra that encourage the Eucharist on Aug. 15 is scheduled to perform at the feet of the walls of Avila, and is expected to attract over 10,000 people. The choir and the orchestra will be led by three professionals in the field of music: two conservatory teachers (both Avila), and the Gregorian choir director of La Santa.
To join the choir, there will be a selection trials on Monday April 18 in the parish halls of San Vicente. The worker shall A simple voice test to assess the quality of it and assign it a string (is private). You should also read a piece chosen to carry prepared for this purpose. It is advisable, to enter the choir, with some musical knowledge.
To belong to the orchestra, the applicant must, at minimum, have completed the professional degree (or half) in the conservatory, or be doing at this time, preferably from the third year, according to the tool. Although it is always preferable to talk to those responsible (at least there are people with exceptional qualities.) Tests will be conducted at a later date, and communicated to the candidates via e-mail.
