first heard addressed was the celebration of the European Shark Week, between 10 and 18 of October/2009, organized by the Shark Alliance.
After pressing and get the current "Plan for Sharks", new European Commission plan that includes the prohibition of finning (slicing off a shark's fins and discarding the rest of the body at sea), this year has turned to ask governments to ensure compliance with the measures contained in the Plan, particularly the strengthening of ban on "finning" and zero quotas for species under serious threat. Spain is the European country most sharks are caught.
Finally, we commented that Spain will be the first European country, from January 1, 2010, prohibits fishing for hammerhead shark and thresher sharks, both endangered species.
The second story we saw were the images of a great white shark which, apparently, entered one of the great stock-red (cages) that host the large tuna, which are greased for marketing. The place of the Mediterranean where the images were taken after an initial confusion we still do not know.
On a stunning picture of a great white released devouring a tuna, which appears on the website of GEO (http://www.mundo-geo.es/) discussed the contents of this interesting web of travel and nature, with high quality images. If you still do not know no miss you and transport you to some of the fantastic places you visit with your items. For some time we know the quality of GEO on paper.
The second story was the "Wildlife Photographer of the Year, 2009." Competition is a property of the Natural History Museum London and BBC Wildlife Magazine publication, considered an international leader in natural world images.

Finally, we were on the website of photographer Chris Jordan (http://www.chrisjordan.com/) to impress us with the images you've got at Midway Island and whose protagonists Albatross chicks.

now hard to believe that what you see in these images is the work exclusively of nature, without the photographer's hand contribute to them. Either way, get "the creeps" and speaks of the damage we are inflicting the Environment with the theme, so now, as is pollution from plastics.

We also want to know better the "mother" of our mountains in protection, recalling its origins and included in the National Catalogue of Natural Areas, 1917, and being declared a Natural Site of Natural Interest in 1931. Even if we talk about this mountain we can not stop mentioning, however briefly, that is the result of afforestation carried out between 1891 and 1902, and directed by the forester Cartagena D. Ricardo Codorniu and Staříč, when Sierra had a desolate look very different to today, without forests and intensive processes of erosion. Do not visit this time, but the snow pits, 26 buildings located more than 1,300 meters above sea level dating back to the second half S. XVI, are a clear demonstration of changes in climate. Today no one would build with light snow falling on their summits.
